Depreciation schedule on a 1990s brick unit: worth paying for?

Bought a 1995 brick unit. A quantity surveyor quoted about 650 dollars for a schedule. Is there enough left to claim on a building that age?

Capital works on a residential building run for 40 years from construction, so a 1995 build still has some years left. The fee is usually deductible too.

Second hand fixtures bought with the property aren't claimable for most individuals since 2017, but anything you add new is.

Mine paid for itself in the first year. Get the surveyor to estimate the claim before you commit.

Great tip, asking for the estimate first.
